President Thomas E. Stinnett called the special meeting of the Riegelsville Borough Council to order at 7:01 pm January 26, 2022. If anyone makes inappropriate comments, tries to sell something, is attacking someone, etc. you will be removed from this meeting.
The Pledge of Allegiance, Roll Call: PRESENT: Thomas Stinnett, Ed Bartosiewicz, Gary Chase, Kate Brandes, Rodney Scott and Mayor Stokes. 1 Borough residents present.
T. Stinnett, Council President has a copy of the Special meeting ad that was in the Express times January 24 and on lehighvalleylive.com. Tom reported that there is money that was not used in 2021 that went into the reserve account, so there is enough for the Office renovation. Tom said the 2022 Budget can be amended. Sherry stated we need more information to move forward. Tom said we need to have employees in the Borough office. Sherry asked if employees will need to be in the office every day or some remote, especially since Covid cases have increased. Council continued to discuss the safety of the Plexiglas and how the renovations will protect the employees from the public.
Council discussed the bid review and recommendations from Cowan Associates and the process if we need to rebid that project.
E. Bartosiewicz motioned to approve S&S Electrical Services alternate bid total $43,781.20, G. Chase seconded. Unanimous.
