NOTICE
Notice is hereby given by the Council of the Borough of Riegelsville that at its regular meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Borough Hall, 615 Easton Road, Riegelsville, Pennsylvania, it shall consider passage of proposed Ordinance No. 233, “An Ordinance of Riegelsville Borough Adopting the 2012 Edition of the International Property Maintenance Code.” the following of which is a summary prepared by the Borough’s solicitor. Article I states the title as being “An Ordinance of Riegelsville Borough Adopting the 2012 Edition of the International Property Maintenance Code” and the purposes for which it is being adopted. Article II adopts, by reference, the 2012 Edition of the International Property Maintenance Code (“Code”) subject to the additions, insertions, deletions and changes prescribed in Article III of the proposed ordinance. Article III amends the following sections of the Code: 103.2 (Appointment); 106.4 (Violation Penalties); 112.4 (Failure to Comply); 304.14 (Insect Screens); 602.3 (Heat Supply); and 602.4 (Occupiable work spaces). Article IV repeals any provisions of the Riegelsville Borough Code of Ordinances which are inconsistent with the proposed ordinance while preserving any provisions unaffected by the proposed ordinance. Article V is a savings clause. Article VI is a severability provision. Article VII provides that the proposed ordinance would be effective upon the date of its adoption and is incorporated by reference into the Borough’s Code of Ordinances with the same force and effect as if duly recorded therein. Copies of the full text of the proposed ordinance and the Code may be examined without charge at the Riegelsville Borough Hall or copies of the proposed ordinance may be examined at the Bucks County Law Library during normal business hours, or may be obtained upon request for a charge not greater than the cost thereof.
