President Thomas E. Stinnett called the regular meeting of the Riegelsville Borough Council to order at 7:30 p.m. January 9, 2013. Following the Pledge of Allegiance a roll call was taken. PRESENT: Edward Bartosiewicz, Rich Pursell, Thomas Stinnett and Kathleen Weiss. E. Bartosiewicz motioned to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2012 Council Meeting. R. Pursell seconded. Unanimous.
CORRESPONDENCE:
Letter dated November 24, 2012 from Community Fire Company #1 Pete Cox, President and Lee Ann Hissim, Auxiliary President thanking the Borough Council for the generous gift of $1000.00.
Letter dated December 14, 2012 from Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. yearly letter to see if the Riegelsville Water Company would like to sell to Aqua PA. Council unanimously stated that they are not going to sell the water company.
Letter dated December 21, 2012 from Nockamixon Emergency Management Agency, addressed to Borough EOC. Official acknowledgement of your generous contribution to our community welfare during last month’s Superstorm Sandy weather emergency.
Letter dated January 2, 2013 from William Dudeck, Borough Solicitor to James G. Sweeney, Esquire
“Ordinance vacating a certain Cul-de-sac at the terminus of Poplar Road”.
Email dated January 2, 2013 from Borough Resident, Elizabeth Balogh in reference to a Penn Dot issue. S. Masteller will pass this email to Ron Martin with PennDOT.
Email dated January 2, 2013 Borough Resident, Tom Speicher in reference to water shut off for second bill. E. Bartosiewicz motioned to cancel the second water bill since the apartment is not being rented anymore. R. Pursell seconded. Unanimous.
Email dated January 8, 2013 from Cemetery Administrator, Tammy Macaluso in reference to the Borough plowing on Church Road and leaving piles of dirt. R. Pursell suggested the Cemetery put up reflectors.
Email dated January 8, 2013 from Borough resident, Marie Knecht in reference to joining the Riegelsville Borough Recreation Board. E. Bartosiewicz motioned to appoint Marie Knecht to the Recreation Board. Seconded by K. Weiss. Unanimous.
Letter from Bucks County Borough Association announcing the January 29, 2013 meeting. Council unanimously approved S. Masteller to attend.
REPORTS:
President – T. Stinnett reported to Council that for 2012 the expenses were 12% over budget and the income was 15% over budget.

CITIZENS COMMENTS: none to report
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Committees did not meet due to the holiday.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Approval of Resolution R-01-13, adding “Memo” to the duplicate tax bill. E. Bartosiewicz motioned to approve. K. Weiss seconded. Unanimous.
Motion to approve check for $385.00 to Barry Hoffman (Well #3 auto con repair). R. Pursell motioned to approve. E. Bartosiewicz seconded. Unanimous.
Council discussed with M. Brady the Borough portion towards his health insurance. Council agreed to 75%of the premium quarterly with M. Brady paying 25% of the cost.
