Monthly Council Committee Meetings have been cancelled until further notice. Borough Council Meeting on May 13 will probably be online.<\/p>\n
From the Water Company:<\/p>\n
Water bills were mailed April 10, 2020.\u00a0 Due to the ongoing threat of Covid-19 the due date for this billing is being extended 31 days.\u00a0 The due date will now be June 1, 2020.\u00a0 The Borough Office is closed to the public and the Office staff is working remotely.\u00a0 If possible, please MAIL your water payments.\u00a0 The locked box between the Borough Office doors is being checked on a weekly basis only.<\/p>\n
If you have an unusually high water bill and feel that it is incorrect, first check around your home and be certain you don\u2019t have a leaking faucet, running toilet, or a leaking pipe.\u00a0 What might appear to be a small drip adds up quite quickly.\u00a0 If nothing is leaking, please get a reading from your inside meter, usually in the basement or garage area, and compare it to reading on the outside remote reader.\u00a0 If those readings match, most likely the cause is a drip, leak or running toilet.\u00a0 If however, they do not match, please call or email the Borough with the inside reading and we will adjust the bill if necessary.\u00a0 Once the stay at home order is lifted and our Borough workers are safe to enter homes we will contact you for a time when we can replace your meter\/reader.<\/p>\n

From the Tax Collector:<\/p>\n
2020 County\/Borough Real Estate tax payments and 2020 Per Capita tax payments can be made using one check.\u00a0 Payments can be made using the bill payer option through your bank if you choose.\u00a0 I just ask that in the memo section of the check please enter your bill number so I can record your payment(s) correctly.\u00a0 Please refrain from using cash as your payment of choice.\u00a0 I have had a few checks where the\u00a0written<\/u>\u00a0portion of the check was incorrect and I could not accept them.\u00a0 When writing out your check, please be sure that the written portion of the check is wrote out correctly, take a moment to double check before submitting.\u00a0 If possible, please MAIL your tax payment, the locked box between the Borough Office doors is being checked on a weekly basis only.\u00a0 If you submitted your payment and it has not cleared within a day or two of your submittal, please be patient.\u00a0 I am going to the Post Office twice a week, to limit my potential exposure to Covid-19.\u00a0 If your check has not cleared a week after your submittal please give me a call, 610-749-2909 or send me an email,\u00a0rvilletaxcollector@gmail.com<\/a>\u00a0and I will check to be sure that I do not have it in my possession.<\/p>\n ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n From the Riegelsville Union Cemetery:<\/p>\n It has been called to the Cemetery\u2019s administration that tombstones were, what it appears to be, intentionally knocked over.\u00a0 This is a disgraceful act and if the person or persons are caught, they will be prosecuted.\u00a0 This heinous act most likely happened at night.\u00a0 Although there are no posted hours for entering the Cemetery, there is really no good reason for anyone to be in there after dusk.\u00a0 If anyone sees or hears any goings on in the Cemetery that appears to be malicious or vandalistic please call the Cemetery number, 267-424-4290 or if you feel that the police need to be immediately involved please call the non-emergency State Police number, 215-249-9191 and then call the Cemetery number to inform us what is going on.\u00a0 Also, just a reminder, there are no dogs allowed in the Cemetery.\u00a0 There are numerous signs posted and still some people feel the need to walk right by them and enter the Cemetery with their dogs.\u00a0 This no dogs allowed signage includes the grass strips located on the outside of the Cemetery walls as well as the grounds that lay within.\u00a0 Please respect the families and friends that visit our Cemetery and abide by the no dogs request.<\/p>\n ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~<\/p>\n Dear Palisades Community,<\/p>\n There will be a\u00a0Fiscal Committee Meeting at 6PM on April 15<\/strong>\u00a0– please use the following information to “attend” this virtual meeting:<\/p>\n You may join by phone +1 541-933-0367 (PIN: 141837622 followed by the # key); you will be muted by default.
