EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BULLETIN:\u00a0 Monday, October 29, 2012, 11:00AM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Riegelsville Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is now open at the Riegelsville Fire Co<\/p>\n

All previously issued watches & warnings remain in effect & force as Sandy as intensified and continues on her path through our region as forecasted.\u00a0 All pre-storm preparations should be completed by 12 Noon today as conditions will worsen as the afternoon progresses.<\/p>\n

Riegelsville Water Co. Update:<\/span><\/strong> Please continue to conserve water! The Well will need time to recharge if there is a power outage in the borough.<\/p>\n

High Wind<\/span><\/strong> Warning<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0 Tropical storm force winds (20-55 MPH with higher gusts) can be expected through Tuesday night.\u00a0 Extended power outages can be expected.\u00a0 This is an extremely dangerous situation, please take it seriously.\u00a0 Report all power outages and downed trees to Met-Ed and the Riegelsville EOC.<\/p>\n

Heavy Rain & Flood<\/span><\/strong> Watch<\/strong><\/span>:\u00a0 Sandy will produce excessive amounts of rainfall (4 \u2013 10+ inches) across portions of our region today and tonight.\u00a0 The runoff will swell our creeks and river Tuesday and beyond.\u00a0 If you haven\u2019t already…please make immediate plans to elevate any valuables and\/or evacuate to higher ground if you are located in flood prone areas.\u00a0 The Red Cross has set-up an emergency shelter at Palisades High School, Pets are being accepted!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mueller\u2019s Store & Restaurant<\/strong> will CLOSE today at about 6:00PM and remain closed until after the event is over, most likely sometime on Wednesday afternoon or beyond if river flooding occurs.\u00a0 Stock up now on any required items.<\/p>\n

First Savings Bank <\/strong>is closing at noon today<\/p>\n

Figtree Market <\/strong>is closing at around noon today<\/p>\n

Riegelsville Library <\/strong>is closed on Tuesday 10\/30<\/p>\n

All unnecessary travel should be eliminated after 6:00PM today or earlier if conditions worsen.<\/p>\n
