{"id":437,"date":"2012-10-28T14:00:04","date_gmt":"2012-10-28T18:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/riegelsville.org\/?p=437"},"modified":"2012-10-28T14:00:04","modified_gmt":"2012-10-28T18:00:04","slug":"storm-update-102912","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/riegelsville.org\/?p=437","title":{"rendered":"Storm Update 10\/29\/12"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><strong>RIEGELSVILLE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BULLETIN (10-28-2012 1:30PM) Possible Flooding\/High Winds\/Power Outage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>The Riegelsville Emergency Team will have their post opened at the Riegelsville Fire Co. on Monday October 29, 2012 at approximately 9-10am.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As we continue to track two (2) storms approaching from both the south and west; the National Weather Service has issued a 90% <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">PROBABILITY<\/span><\/strong> that our area will sustain a somewhat major impact.\u00a0 The storm track\/severity is still subject to change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the event that the storm continues as predicted<\/strong>; we can expect the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0At a minimum&#8230;<strong>six (6) to eight (8) inches of rain<\/strong> commencing Sunday afternoon and ending sometime Wednesday or Thursday.\u00a0 The worst could occur on Tuesday.\u00a0 Heavy record flooding of streets, creeks and the river could occur. Be prepared to evacuate to higher ground if ordered.\u00a0 Preparation should begin now to elevate all valuables to a higher area if you have been prone to flooding in the past.\u00a0 We do not anticipate any snow and\/or ice to occur at this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>High Winds: <\/strong>Could possibly be here Monday into Tuesday. This is when the power outages may occur. <strong>Move you vehicles away from the TREES!<\/strong>\u00a0 They can be put in the Borough Hall Parking lot\/St Peter\u2019s Lutheran Church parking lot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Power outages:<\/strong> can be expected to occur due to falling trees and limbs.\u00a0 Both PennDOT and MetEd have already made arrangements for added storm response.
