WHEREAS, Riegelsville Borough has adopted Ordinance #166 amending Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances imposing water rates and charges and establishing rules and regulations for water service; and

WHEREAS, Section 101 and Section 102 of said Ordinance requires the schedule of rates and charges to be adopted by Resolution of Borough Council.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved by the Riegelsville Borough Council that the following rates and charges shall be imposed upon each consumer served and to be served by the water system.

 

SECTION 101 – METER SERVICE:  A minimum charge of $75.00 per quarter will be made to each consumer.  This minimum charge includes the use of 9,000 gallons of water per quarter without extra charge.  For all water used in excess of 9,000 gallons per quarter the charge will be as follows:

 

In excess of 9,000 gallons per quarter up to 15,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $3.75 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 15,000 gallons per quarter up to 21,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $4.25 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 21,000 gallons per quarter up to 27,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $4.75 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 27,000 gallons per quarter up to 33,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $5.25 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 33,000 gallons per quarter up to 39,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $5.75 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 39,000 gallons per quarter up to 45,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $6.25 per 1,000 gallons.

 

In excess of 45,000 gallons per quarter the rate is $8.00 per 1,000 gallons.

 

Section 102 – Public Fire Hydrants:  There will be no charge for the Borough of Riegelsville for hydrant usage.

 

The above rates shall be effective commencing with the period of service covered by the April 2021 billing (1^st Quarter 2021, January – March, 2021) and remain in effect until amended by Resolution of the Riegelsville Borough Council.  Adopted this 9th day of December 2020 by the Riegelsville Borough Council.
